After a long time obsession with drawing and sculpting "rabbits," I was encouraged by a friend and fellow artist to look into what the rabbit represents.  I learned that rabbits represent fear and intuition.  If they follow their inutition and not give in to fear, they will survive.  It's pretty fitting of the condition of an artist.
